The story behind the logo

There is a bit of a story behind the logo. Icelandic horses are sometimes referred to as viking horses. They have been selectively bred since they came to Iceland a little more than 1000 years ago. Iceland is an island, and there is no import of horses allowed since the 12th century. The icelandic horse is therefore I understand as close to the original viking horses as you can get. You could say that the ‘ultimate’ viking horse can be found in nordic mythology, Sleipnir, the eight legged horse of the chief of the nordic gods, Odinn. The logo is based on old drawings of Sleipnir. See more info at Dalla, the logo designer – she is the best:)
